Connie Clark has more than 28 years of extensive experience in not-for-profit administration in capital campaigns, annual campaigns, capacity building, board development, local, state and federal grant procurement, and knowledge of estate planning concepts for major gift solicitation. She offers Jeffrey Byrne & Associates, Inc., clients a high level of professionalism and experience combined with excellent communication and organizational skills.

As a YMCA professional, she held a wide range of positions in three YMCA associations in Ohio: Chillicothe, Middletown, and Canton. During her tenure in the YMCA of Central Stark County in Canton, she held multiple positions including Executive Director of three branches and Vice President of Development for the nine branch associations. Over the last eight years with the Y she coordinated capital campaigns that totaled $16.4 million that included the building of two new YMCAs and the renovation of two existing YMCAs. She secured operating and capital project grants in excess of $7.9 million which included a Kresge Foundation challenge grant and a $1 million Federal earmark grant while helping increase the planned giving portfolio by $2.5 million in just five years. With her leadership and support, more than 450 volunteers raised nearly $300,000 annually for the YMCA Partner with Youth Campaign.

Connie now provides readiness assessments, financial audits, long-range planning support, mid campaign reviews, board development, annual and capital campaign organization and leadership. She recently secured two Kresge challenge grants for The Nature Conservancy totaling $1.75 million.  She has organized 6 branch YMCA capital campaigns from Ohio to Missouri and has offered financial development and grant development from the smallest faith based non profits to major hospitals and the 7th largest YMCA in the country.

Connie leads workshops and seminars on grant writing, annual campaign development, capital campaign development, major gift solicitation, board development, long range planning, and non-profit review of operations. She has been certified and often served as a trainer and faculty member for the YMCA of the USA and other institutions in Capital Development, Endowment Development, Grant writing, Long Range planning, Safety & Risk Management, Peer Mediation, Supervision, Youth Work, and Conflict & Negotiation. She is a member of the Northern Ohio Planned Giving Association and is a board member and founding member of Leave a Legacy in Stark County.
